OUR WORK

Imagine a world where every child felt empowered
and skilled with their emotions.

Our impact focus is improving youth wellbeing by growing emotional intelligence skills and support systems globally. Empathy to build lasting, healthy relationships. Courage to stand up for what they believe in. And emotionally intelligent adult role models to guide and encourage. That’s what we provide – and we need your help to reach even more children.

Your gift will help improve youth wellbeing globally by providing evidence-based emotional intelligence skills and training.

Six Seconds is transforming the future by cultivating essential emotional intelligence skills that the world urgently needs.

Our approach is different.

We build capacity for youth mental health & wellbeing.

The world’s youth face an unprecedented mental health crisis, which requires an urgent, comprehensive response from parents, educators and community leaders all over the world. Our POP-UP Festivals, in partnership with UNICEF World Children’s Day, helps millions of children to grow their emotional intelligence with free, playful, meaningful activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Translated into 34 languages and used in over 200 countries and territories, POP-UP inspires 3.5 million of children every year at no cost to parents or participants.

We don’t ignore emotions.

We harness them.

Inspired by 25 years of research and practice, we know that solving complex problems requires more than technical expertise; it requires the emotional skills to connect, collaborate and inspire. Through our Climate of Emotions program, we invest in youth activists’ mental health and emotional intelligence so they can scale their efforts and leverage their collective power to create broader change to solve the climate crisis (SDGs 13 & 4).

We partner with leading youth organizations to multiply impact.

With youth-focused nonprofits all over the world, we build capacity to enhance the emotional well-being of young people, equip them with essential life skills, and foster resilient, empathetic future leaders.

Underneath it all, when you cut through all the confusion, it is these social emotional skills – or a lack thereof – that are responsible for the biggest and most important challenges of our time.
